About

I’m Jesse, a songwriter in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. I write every day, mostly on my phone, and play writers’ rounds from Memphis to Knoxville when I can get them.

This site is where I keep ranked lists of the apps I write and record with, hands-on reviews, and the Tennessee rooms I’ve played along the way. Voloco is the app I use the most, so you’ll see it come up a lot.

How I rank things

Every app on a list is one I’ve used on real songs, not just installed. I rank on how much it helps me finish music, how fair the pricing is, and whether I’d recommend it to a friend starting out. When an app changes enough to move up or down, I update the list and the date at the top.
